Government of Meghalaya has revised the reference to GST rate schedules for motor vehicles in an earlier notification. By virtue of this amendment, it has been clarified that: - Motor vehicles listed under Schedule II will now attract 9% SGST, and - Motor vehicles listed under Schedule III will now attract 20% SGST. This amendment aligns the classification of motor vehicles with the revised GST framework, effective from September 22, 2025. For more information, please refer to the specified document.
